At Family Matters we understand that sometimes people need support to take part in mediation. This might be for emotional reasons, support with documents or technology, or an additional learning or processing need.
When someone requests a supporter, we ask all people involved in the case to sign a clear agreement which outlines our expectations of them and what they can expect to happen. This makes sure that everyone taking part in the mediation understands and accepts the role of the supporter, how they can help, the things they can do, and the things they cannot do.
Below you will find two agreements
• MEDIATION PARTICIPANT FORM which will need to be read and signed by the person who has asked for support and the other in the case who agrees a supporter will be present. • SUPPORTER FORM for the person offering support. Please choose from the options below:
