A mediation, information and assessment meeting (MIAM) is not just about getting a court form that you need. It is a meeting, meant just for you, in which you can talk about your situation, worries and concerns and get unbiased information from a family mediator. At the MIAM, you will get the information to understand what you need to do next and how to make sure you have all the necessary information prepared. Family Matters doesn’t do anything except mediation. We can focus on providing the highest quality MIAMs and mediation . In the MIAM you will be offered the opportunity to talk about the latest government initiatives to support people coming to mediation that could help you, whether that is legal aid or the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) voucher scheme. Your meeting will focus on making sure you have the information you need to help you take the next steps, whether that is the court process or mediation, with the least stress and expense possible.
Family Matters’ mediators are trained and experienced and are accredited by the Family Mediation Association (FMC). Only FMCA mediators can sign court forms.
We have been mediating successfully since 2000 and have the right knowledge of, experience and relationships with those who can help your case, so we can ensure that you are directed to the right sources of help in the first instance.
