Family Matters was started in 2000 and since then, we have developed and refined our mediation practice and policies to provide the highest levels of service. We are independent and neutral. We only offer mediation so you will never be worried that there might be a conflict between your solicitor providing mediation and legal advice.
Family Matters family mediators are all accredited by the Family Mediation Council (FMCA). This guarantees that they are fully trained to the highest standards, are qualified and follow the FMC’s code of practice. Each FMCA mediator is supported and supervised by a professional practice consultant and carries out professional development activities to enhance their knowledge and experience. Family Matters has a complaints policy and will ensure any concerns you may have about our service are addressed within clear timescales.
Family mediators accredited by the FMC are fully insured, can undertake Legal Aid and Ministry of Justice work, and can sign the forms necessary for an application to court.
Our fees are clear and transparent.
All Family Matters mediators are listed on the FMC register, which you can find here: www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk/fmc-register-search/
We provide training events on a local and national level evidencing our commitment to raising standards through the provision of high quality training events .
