Harry and Dorothy came to mediation to talk about the arrangements for their son Noah aged eight. Harry and Dorothy decided to separate as he realised that he was transgender and wished to begin the process of gender reassignment. Dorothy is confused and angry and said Noah will be upset by his Dad becoming a Mum.
In mediation Harry and Dorothy were able to talk about a process of explaining to Noah about the changes to Harry and ways of ensuring that Harry remained in Noah’s life. Harry was able to reassure Dorothy that she would always be Noah’s Mum.
