John and Emma came to mediation to talk about arrangements for their daughter Chloe (aged 2 years). Emma had moved out of the area with her new partner. John didn’t drive so transport was very difficult. Trust had broken down between them.
Six mediation sessions took place over a six month period. John and Emma were able to meet at a play centre half way between both parents’ homes. Initially John spent 2 hours with Chloe but gradually the time they spent together increased to a full day.
John was happy with the arrangement when mediation ended saying “I was a bit dubious to start with, but now I’ve been I think it’s good.”
