You can get legal aid, which will pay for your mediation if you are getting Universal Credit, Guaranteed Credit, Income Related ESA, JSA or Income Support.
When you apply, we will ask you about your savings and how much equity there is in your house if you own it.
Legal aid for mediation is a grant, not a loan. You do not have pay it back.
If you are coming to mediation to talk about children, there is also a grant of £500 per family towards the cost of mediation.
