Child Inclusive Mediation Training UPDATE DAY

The FMC requires mediators who are DCC/CIM-trained to take a CIM Update Day with trainers who have FMC approval to provide CIM training under the new standards and requirements. Please return your booking form as soon as possible
as places are limited it is likely to be in high demand.
This Update day will include:
- A review of the new FMC Standards and requirements for training and practice in child-inclusive mediation, including ppc and cpd requirements.
- Sharing experience in practice, using different approaches and ‘models’,discussion of techniques and outcomes and any particular difficultiesencountered. Participants will be invited to discuss CIM cases they have undertaken and the trainers will share their CIM experience in the last year.
- Possibilities for CIM with younger children, eg by including younger siblings to some extent, and of meeting with parents and children together, before and/or after talking with the children.
- A 3-stage role-play to explore a dilemma that a mediator may encounter in practice and consider how to manage it.
Attendance at this day will provide 6 CPD Points, with additional point/s for 1-2 pages of reflections on a CIM case you have undertaken, or for 1-2 pages of reflections on recommended reading (list to be provided).
Applicants must hold FMC accreditation and recognition for childinclusive mediation
